Merge Records Cover Compilation
For a while I was on a serious ‘anything with acoustic guitar’ bender. One of those bands were The Shins. I went to go see them live in Montreal in 2006. I remember seeing a bunch of my teachers there, and thinking to myself that teachers have a life out of school. It was trippy.
My favorite part about the whole concernt was jumping over a small good looking girl to strum the guitar that the band member had put down for the girl to strum. No such luck for him. He instead got me.
This is a track off Merge Record’s cover compilation called Score. It is a Tenement Halls cover. You should probably wear a plaid shirt and grow a beard when listening to it, or it won’t sound as good. It also features the likes of The New Pornographers and Broken Social Scene.
